He did the midday tour at the Lyell Dear Sanctuary and came to The Long Year Larder for late lunch. We really enjoy the salad, pie and beef burger. Good food and service.

I could not fault The Long Yard Larder! My Sticky Brewed Dirty Chai was the best I've had anywhere; so much flavour and nice and hot! The food was also tasty, hot and presented well. My husband had a coconut raspberry slice which was SO good (I had a taste) and it was a huge serving. The whole menu was very well priced. The service was thoughtful and friendly. We were treated like valuable customers. I am hard to please - so many businesses lack in the area of product, attention to detail and service, but this business gets 5 stars for everything. We will make the drive from Deception Bay to see you again sometime and tell our friends.

In Samford - a long low table with bench seats faces the footpath and if you've ordered correctly (opinion) you've got the bang bang chicken burger with chips and a surprise thickshake. - ice cream provided from the many flavours on display. I order aoli and tobasco and mix them together for a fries sauce. The drive to Samford is 20 Km but it takes me back 42 yrs to the corner cafe in my home town. A short trip for a long lunch of nostalgia. Check it out. - an 8 yr old me wouldn't abide the hot sauce.

The Long Yard Larder offers a good variety of classic breakfast eats. We opted for the big breaky and the sautéed thyme mushrooms. For a breakfast focusing on mushrooms, felt a tad let down that there were barely any on my plate and that an entire ingredient (feta) was nowhere to be seen. Also, there was a random bit of blackened bacon found underneath my egg?? Our coffees hit definitely the spot though.

Stopped for breakfast this morning after taking photos at Cedar Creek. We ordered the Eggs Benedict (full portion and half portion) with coffees. The cafe was full at around 11h15 and we waited about 20-25 minutes for our order. Not complaining because the view and setting were great - conversations and laughter from tables around us. The food was OUTSTANDING. I used my last piece of bread to mop up the remaining sauce on my plate. Definitely a "visit again" place! Give it a go. There is a beautiful park across the road, including a kids play area and toilets. Oh, if you don't find street parking there is parking in the back!

Great little café with a cozy vibe and tasty food. Coffee was spot on, and service was friendly. Plenty of on-street parking nearby made it super convenient. Just missing that wow factor for five stars. Will try it again soon.

Great spot for an early breakfast after a brisk walk on an a crisp winter morning. I partook of a half sized corn fritter with smoked salmon, salsa verde and hollandaise. I enjoyed a flat white as well. The food was great. Service spot on and friendly. The food and coffee came out quickly and the breakfast was piping hot and tasted great. Good coffee also. No complaints at all Highly recommended!
